ANSWERS
1. In the merit of Avraham leaving his homeland at Hashem's command, Bnei
Yisrael were no longer wanderers in a foreign land. In the merit of Yitzchak's service
as a sacrifice to Hashem, Bnei Yisrael were freed from service to the Egyptians. In
the merit of Yaakov's suffering, Bnei Yisrael would be freed from suffering in Egypt.
Through the merit of all the forefathers’ connection to Hashem, Bnei Yisrael were
freed from Egypt so they could connect to Hashem's divine presence at Har Sinai.
2. Moshe wasn't actually speaking to Hashem. He was "speaking" to himself.
Hashem knows all and "heard" what Moshe was thinking, as if Moshe was talking to
Him.
3. The six prophets mentioned were Aharon, Moshe, Pinchas (Eliyahu), Asir, Elkanah,
and Eviyasaf (the last three were sons of Korach).
4. It was only Aharon who brought the ַ ֵ×עéְ ְַ פç up from the water to the dry land of
Egypt. The ַ ֵ×עéְ ְַ פç were actually created by Hashem during the original days of
Creation, specifically for this event.
5. Moshe knew that Bnei Yisrael would not be returning at all after Pharaoh let them
go, so it didn't make a difference as to how long Pharaoh said they could leave. The
main thing was just being freed from Egypt.
6. Pharaoh had not prayed for the rain to stop (only the hail and thunder) as he
knew that would be good for Egypt's dry lands. Hashem did not keep the rain going,
as Hashem only provides rain for those who fear him (See Yirmiyahu 5:24)
